Bill Widen~ lung transplant recipient and head & neck cancer survivor was inspired to transform his funny car into a symbol of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The project that started the end of 2003 showcased a Donate Life blue-and-green funny car, that raced and showed across the country at officially sanctioned IHRA and NHRA tracks, hospitals and community fundraisers.

For the past few years Bill is very proud and honored to be racing the 1969 Nova SS that has been Donated to this project in January 2011 by Teri Clark of Memphis, TN.. This 1969 Nova knows it's way around a drag strip, It was driven by multiple event winner and Foot Break World Champion
Johnny McPeake.

Sadly Johnny passed away in 2005. Johnny's last act of kindness was being an organ and tissue donor that helped enhance and save many lives that day. There will be much more information to come about Johnny and his life both on and off the track. Check out Johnny's page.

Donate Life/Signatures Across America is dedicated to educating and inspiring people to commit to be organ and tissue donors.

Transplantation is one of the most remarkable success stories in the history of medicine.

Organ and tissue transplants offer patients a new chance at healthy, productive, normal lives and return them to their families, friends and communities.

YOU have the power to change someone's world by being a donor. It's about living. It's about Life.
